Winner of five Tony Awards including 2011 Best Play of the year, this remarkable tale of courage, loyalty and friendship opened to rave reviews in London and New York and now National Theatre of Great Britain brings it’s production of War Horse exclusively to the Ahmanson. You’ve never seen anything quite like War Horse. This epic tale is both highly inventive spectacle and powerfully moving drama, with one of the largest casts - over 30 - ever assembled on the Ahmanson stage. Set in 1914 England and the beginning of World War One, Joey, young Albert’s beloved horse, is sold to the cavalry and shipped from England to France. He’s soon caught up in enemy fire, and fate takes him on an extraordinary journey, before finding himself alone in no man’s land. But Albert cannot forget Joey and he embarks on a treacherous mission to find him and bring him home. This odyssey of a boy and his horse took London by
storm before opening on Broadway in spring 2011. We have great seats reserved in the first three rows of the Mezzanine section. We also have ten seats located in the Balcony section offered at a great value and will be on a first reserved basis. We will depart from the Palm Springs Stater Brothers parking lot at Vista Chino & Sunrise at 9:30am and you will have time to enjoy lunch on your own prior to the 2:00pm matinee. Anticipated return time is 7:00pm. The price includes round trip motorcoach transportation, theater ticket, snacks and driver gratuity.
